Service of ventilation systems
For long-term, high-quality and efficient operation of the ventilation system, it is necessary to carry out regular maintenance and diagnostics. In addition to design and installation work, the company “Termal” also carries out service, diagnostics and repair of ventilation systems not only installed by us, but also by other organizations.
How often should ventilation be serviced?
Any minor malfunction can eventually disable the entire ventilation system. In order for the equipment to serve efficiently and for a long time, it is very important to carry out service maintenance at least once a year, or even twice. Without a scheduled inspection, the system may not live longer than the warranty period.

What does ventilation system maintenance include?
Not only monoblock or packaged ventilation units, but also simple fans need maintenance.
Termal offers the following diagnostic services:
- Cleaning of filters and switchgear
- assessment of the operation of fan blades and motors
- checking the electric heater for contacts, inspecting heaters of other types, cleaning the cooler
- checking and cleaning the recuperator
- diagnostics of electrical wiring and automation systems, as well as air damper drives
- cleaning of grids
- checking the drainage system (if there is a heat exchanger)
- replacement of parts whose service life has expired
- overview of the ventilation unit as a whole
Cleaning and changing filters
Cleaning and replacement of filters is one of the most frequent services in ventilation maintenance. Filters are installed on both the exhaust and the supply air. Over time, they become clogged with dust. Their capacity decreases and the required air flow does not enter the room. Filters can be coarse, medium and fine. There are also special bactericidal HEPA filters. The greater the dust holding capacity, the more often the filter needs to be cleaned.
In addition to filters, fan blades, grilles, air ducts, and recuperators are cleaned of dust and dirt. Coolers are cleaned with special reagents. In electric heaters, the contacts on the terminal block are checked to avoid system fires.
Untimely maintenance can lead to low equipment efficiency, noise, unpleasant odors, etc. Modern ventilation systems are quite complex. Maintenance should be entrusted to a reliable service center.
Cost of service maintenance
The cost of maintaining a ventilation system depends on the type of service, the capacity of the equipment or the size of the parts to be serviced, as well as the time required to complete the work.
