What was done
Design and supply of ventilation equipment, air conditioners and automation panels of our own production based on Danffos controller were completed.
The peculiarity of this facility is a large heat output from gas furnaces (about 700 kW) in a room of 1200 m2. And the installed ventilation system, in addition to the main task of providing fresh air, must remove most of the heat generated.
Heat recovery units are used to return up to 80% of the heat in winter. In the summer, the air conditioning system operates for the entire production facility.
Stages of work
Engineering surveys and energy audits
The primary task was to utilize the excess heat generated by the gas furnaces (about 700 kW). For this purpose, an energy-efficient ventilation system with heat recovery was developed.
The calculated air exchange was determined for the assimilation of heat surplus and at a normalized rate, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents. As a result, the GreenStar air handling unit by Aerostar was selected for the baking shop, warehouses and technical rooms. This model is equipped with a rotary recuperator that utilizes up to 80% of the heat in winter. The unit is mounted inside the building, on a specially prepared structure.
Separately, a compact RODA suspended air handling unit is provided for the bar production shop, dressing rooms and showers. All air ducts are laid openly, with adjustable rectangular grilles embedded in them. For efficient utilization, exhaust ducts are mounted in the areas with the highest heat surplus, and supply ducts are mounted around the perimeter.
Ruck three-stage exhaust duct fans were installed for the bathrooms and technical rooms.
Design and installation solutions for smoke removal systems
A smoke exhaust system was installed from a gas oven for baking wafer sheets.
The GreenStar air handling unit is equipped with a water heater and acts as an air heating system. The unit’s heater is designed to heat and reheat the air after the recuperator. It is switched on at the lowest outdoor temperatures and a small load of technical equipment. An additional source of heating is the existing water heating system. Panel radiators with thermostatic valves are installed in cold areas.
During the warm season, the Leberg inverter split air conditioning system operates. Ducted and wall-mounted indoor units are used to cool the air.
Automation and dispatching system
Automation panels of our own production, based on the Danffos controller, were developed for the ventilation system.
Launching and debugging the system
Commissioning works were carried out, and the executive documentation was prepared. The system was put into operation.
